Frequently Asked Questions
My passion and purpose with Physio by Petra is to deliver hands-on, evidence-based, compassionate physical therapy care to you. I have chosen the route of providing care through a private-pay model due to the constraints within the insurance model. I am excited for the unobstructed care that I will be able to offer and believe that when there are no limitations, both the patient and provider have the ability to reach their highest potential in their outcomes.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions, but please contact me for clarity or any other questions you may have.

Initial visits and Follow-up Physio visits will be structured with the assessment and treatment of your condition at each visit. As healing is never a linear progression; I find great value in the re-assessment of tissue tolerance, mobility and movement with in each visit. Treatment of hands on manual therapy and progressive load through STEP, pilates or varying motor retraining patterns will be implemented at each visit as directed by our clinical and subjective findings.

Please wear or bring comfortable clothing that you can change into prior to your visit start time. It is best to have full exposure to the area being treated and surrounding joints and soft tissues. This is to aide in better evaluation and treatment application.
Please bring any necessary documents that you may find helpful in providing clarity and aiding in a comprehensive treatment plan. ex. imaging reports, operative reports and protocols, etc…

Private pay (also called "cash-based") physical therapy means we do not bill insurance directly. Patients pay us directly at the time of service. You may be able to submit receipts to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement and we will provide you with a super-bill receipt. Please call your insurance ahead of time to inquire about your options.

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) you can submit to your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits.
